Join us for an exciting tour of Cappadocia's Soganli Valley and Underground City! Our tour begins at 9:30am with a pickup from your hotel. First, we'll drive to Ortahisar Panorama Point(Lavanta Panorama) to take in the stunning views of Ortahisar Castle. Our guide will provide you with information about the history and geography of the region.
Next, we'll visit Mustafapasa (Sinasos in Greek), a former Greek village with beautiful architecture. This village was home to both Turkish and Greek people until the population exchange in 1924. You'll get to see some old Greek houses, an Ottoman madrasah, and an 19th-century church.
Following the visit in Mustafapasa, We'll drive to the Keslik Monastery, a lesser-known but equally interesting site to explore. This monastery is home to three churches of different ages that are worth checking out. The Church of Archangels is particularly notable, as it features impressive paintings depicting the life of Jesus & Mother Mary. Afterwards, we'll head to the Sobessos Excavation Site, where you can see the Roman bath, tombs, temple, and gorgeous mosaics that have been uncovered.
Then it's off to Soganli Valley, one of the most peaceful and secluded valleys in Cappadocia. We'll take a hike along one side of the valley, visiting some cave churches, and return along the other side of the valley to the old village. Lunch will be served in this beautiful valley.
In the afternoon, we'll tour the Derinkuyu Underground City, the deepest underground city in Cappadocia and a UNESCO site. You'll get to explore the caves and learn about the way of life in this fascinating city. Our tour will conclude around 4:30-5:00pm with a drive back to your hotel.
