Cappadocia is located in central Turkey, near Kayseri and Nevsehir. Thousands of years ago, the cave homes and so-called ‘fairy chimneys’ were formed. Cappadocia is a major tourist attraction in Turkey.

The optimum duration of stay in Cappadocia should be 2 or 3 days. This allows you to see all of the important monuments, go on some hikes, visit some caverns, and take a hot air balloon flight.

If you are a person that would like a slower pace, but deeper feeling of the site, a trip of at least 3 to 4 days is advised due to the many activities and sights spread out over a wide area. The fairy tale atmosphere makes walking here even more enjoyable. Flying in a hot air balloon is one of the greatest ways to appreciate this mystical environment from above. This will be an experience you’ll never forget.

If you are too short on time, but still would like to see some of Cappadocia, we can recommend having a day trip from Istanbul by flights. You can check the details from here.
