The most popular activity in Cappadocia is hot air ballooning, so book as early as possible and prepare ahead if you want to avoid disappointment. Just because 100-or-so balloons fly every morning does not guarantee a place on the flight. Staying at least two to three nights gives you greater chances of getting on a flight just in case your journey is cancelled due to bad weather.

A hot air balloon ride in Cappadocia costs anywhere from 70 to 180 Euros ($90 to 200) per person, depending on which firm you hire and how many individuals are in the basket. Because demand is so high, prices are generally set or sometimes more if it is cancelled from the day before or last minute booking.

Basically, the cheaper price you choose, the more people will be in the baskets. There are flights with 8, 12, 16, 20, 24 or 28 people in the baskets and the price varies depending on which basket you are choosing. Basically, less people will mean more space in the basket and more comfortable view of the valleys and the area.
